Ronald Kilby -v- Matrix Solicitors : £300 refund obtained

We were pleased to get a refund of £300 for Ronald , whose road traffic accident claim had concluded in March 2017.

At the end of his case a total of £1,062.50 had been deducted in respect of a success fee including VAT.

We took the view that the solicitors had applied the success fee to the wrong figure, and at too high a rate. There was nothing in the case to justify a success fee of 100%.

Having been instructed in October 2017, proceedings under the Solicitors Act were issued in December and we were able to get Ronald his refund by February 2018.
