Humphries Kirk Solicitors - £8.5k saved for client

In a case dealt with by Mark Carlisle through our sister company, Deep Blue Costs, Master Rowley of the Senior Courts Costs Office found that where the solicitors had delivered an invoice which was said to be final in respect of the administration of an estate, they were precluded from delivering a second invoice for some £8,500 that had not been claimed in the first invoice. The second invoice was disallowed in its entirety and Humphries Kirk were ordered to pay the client's costs.
