Mother and daughter Gillian and Ellie Hall were stationary in Gillian's car on 24th December 2017 when the car in front of them reversed without warning, colliding with the front of Gillian's vehicle and causing them both injuries.
They instructed Curtis Law on 5th January 2018 and their cases were dealt with via Conditional Fee Agreements (sometimes called "no win, no fee" agreements) in the road traffic accident claims portal. They received their compensation in November 2018, but money had been deducted for legal fees and premiums for ATE ("After the Event") Insurance policies that had been taken out on their behalf.
Gillian and Ellie instructed us on 26th September 2019. We were quickly able to obtain the relevant documents from Curtis Law and took the view that the amounts that Curtis Law had deduced were too high.
By the end of November we have been able to settle both cases, with both Gillian and Ellie receiving refunds of the majority of legal fees that had been deducted.
Could not be happier with the service I received! Was fast, well informed, and whilst professional still friendly and extremely helpful. My refund came just in time for my birthday and the Christmas period, and so the money will be going towards presents for my 5 nieces and the rest of my family as well as a little birthday treat myself :). So so happy and highly recommend
