Good overall service. Explained the process at the start and delivered at the end. Thankyou.

Michael Collins, Stevenage

Michael instructed the ill-fated Asons solicitors in relation to his accident claim in September 2016 on the basis of a Conditional Fee Agreement that provided for a 0% success fee, so he would have had no deduction from his damages at all.

In April 2017 however, Asons having gone under, his case was transferred to Coops Law and, after settlement of the damages claim had already been reached, Coops Law had Michael enter into a new Conditional Fee Agreement which provided for a success fee of 100%.

Michael had recovered damages of £4,000 but the sum of £875 was deducted for a success fee and £306.39 for an ATE premium.

We were instructed on 13th October (by which time the Solicitors Regulation Authority had already intervened in Coops Law) and by 28th November had, after an exchange of a number of offers, secured an agreement for repayment in full together with Michael's costs.
